By a margin of 10-0, we have voted to expand MiLB roster size. This thread is where we'll have discussion on how to implement this change. For example, by how many roster spots should we increase the MiLB roster? and When and how should the increases occur? (all at once, staggered in some way, etc.)
Please post your own thoughts at your convenience. Our goal is to have a poll posted for voting by the end of this week, which will be October 4th, 2020.
Thank you for sharing

I think we should expand incrementally, although I acknowledge that it probably makes sense to expand multiple spots this year because none of our specs are graduating. I propose we expand by 3 milb spots this year (2021) and one additional spot in 2022 and 2023, to take us up to a total of 25 spots. That will expand our minors by 70 players over the next three years and will consequently diminish subsequent draft classes.

I propose we add 5 spots this year and 1 more for the next 5 years to get to a total of 30. I am in 4 other leagues that range from 30 t0 50 with 16 to 20 teams and there always seems to be talent in the pool. This has been a long time coming for this league.

I am personally fine with either of the two proposals above. Adding multiple spots right away for 2021 and beyond is a good way to balance out not having MiLB graduations this year. Having more minor league roster space is something I think all of us could handle; we all know our specs well enough that it wouldn't be overwhelming.
The Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame in me wants to say "Why don't we do +4 for 2021 and then four years of adding a spot per year after that to give us 28 MiLB guys?" lol

I Say go to 5 right away. Most everyone is full and their is enough talent there. Hell there are a ton of guys I wish I had picks for this last year. Adding a additional 1 per season till 30 is interesting

Adding 5 now to milb then getting to 30 over next few years sounds good to me

Let me be the first to voice against this move. Its a path that almost all other dynasty leagues face at some point but it can spiral the league down a bit. I had a league end this season after 10 years and its mostly becuase minors became more important than the majors.
We all need minor league space right now from this crazy year that has happened, but why change a rule only from our short term problem? Next season we will all have minor league busts on our team that can be cut and will be back enjoying the 20 roster milb. It will make the back half of the draft a bit useless if we are picking between the 751 ranked player and the 821st from baseballamerica lists.
Only my 2 cents guys, happy to draft more random names if you all are into it! This league is a lot of fun to play

I think expand to 5 for this year and then revisit the gradual increase after we see how this draft pans out

I think expand to 5 for this year and then revisit the gradual increase after we see how this draft pans out Seems like a good solution. We don’t necessarily have to commit to future increases right now.

I concur with the plus 5 now and then add on later as needed. 1 per year is acceptable.
I actually think the one time boost is more important than any other long-term additions.

I say we add 3 and stop there. Not sure why we need 25-30 milb slots
