To thoae of you that do not know I have a special needs daughter. She was born with a genetic disorder and has a lot of emotional and mental issues. About a month ago her counselor strongly recommend we put her in an inpatient facility. This has been a very difficult time for my wife and I but I pray that we are moving in the right direction. I know I havent been on a lot lately but I am hopeful that life will get back to "normal" soon.

For those of you wondering about my daughter, here it is in a nut shell. She is 11 years old. She has born with a lot of heart problems (almost died when she was a week old). She had open heart surgery when she was 9 days old and then another when she was 14 months old. Later (she was around 5-6 years old) we found out she has a rare genetic disorder called 8p 23.1 duplication syndrome. There are only 11 cases of this disorder that have been studied. She has been seeing a counselor and psychiatrist for about 3 years now. They have mentioned bipolar and schizophrenia, but she is to young to be diagnosed with either. She has a huge heart and wants to get better. The last 6 months has been a nightmare with her. She has violent outbursts and has become a danger to herself and her sisters. We admitted her into the Integris Mental health facility yesterday. Leaving her there was the hardest thing I have ever done. I have prayed and prayed about this. I continue to pray that this is the right thing and that she will get the help she needs. Thank you all for your concern and prayers.
